At Fidelity Investments, we're seeking a talented Senior Data Architect to join our team. As a key member of our data organization, you'll play a crucial role in designing and implementing data models that drive business growth.

About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced Lead Data Modeler to lead and collaborate across teams in a dynamic environment. You'll work closely with product teams, data engineering teams, architecture, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into conceptual, logical, and physical data models.

Using AWS and/or on-premises services, you'll help design, implement data models for analytical, operational, and transactional platforms. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading data modeling efforts in support of Crypto Trading and modeling various domains and entities in scope
  • Enhancing existing data models as the business evolves
  • Designing and implementing data models that meet business requirements
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and integrity

You'll be responsible for defining data modeling standards and guidelines and helping teams adopt complex large-scale and global data-driven implementations.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Lead Data Modeler who can bring strong technical skills and business acumen to this role. Key qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, data science, or related experience
  • 7+ years of experience in relational, dimensional, and/or analytic modeling, with Python knowledge a plus
  • Strong SQL knowledge and work experience with databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Teradata
  • Hands-on experience with metadata management, data modeling, and related tools (Erwin or ER Studio or others)
  • Demonstrated experience in data modeling, ER diagram creation, and enterprise software design for OLTP (relational) and analytical systems
  • Good knowledge of data modeling principles and standard methodologies, including semantic data modeling concepts and multi-fact models
  • Ability to define data modeling standards and guidelines and help teams adopt complex large-scale and global data-driven implementations
  • Experience working with Alation, Collibra to drive data cataloging and data lineage
  • Strong understanding of data governance processes and metadata repositories
  • Experience working with data governance teams to identify and capture business and technical metadata associated with various data entities
