We are currently seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to enhance our infusion department. The role of the infusion nurse is to deliver extensive oncology services within an adult outpatient framework. Candidates must possess a valid Nebraska nursing license from an accredited institution and hold current CPR certification. A minimum of three years of nursing experience is required, with a preference for candidates who have critical care or oncology/chemotherapy backgrounds. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for effective communication with patients, families, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer nursing care and prescribed treatments in line with established nursing protocols.
  • Monitor, document, and report on patients' conditions and responses to medications and treatments to the medical team. Provide education to patients and families regarding diagnostic procedures, medications, and health maintenance.
  • Oversee the management of medications and medical supplies, ensuring timely maintenance of all necessary equipment.
  • Maintain and review patient records, charts, and other relevant documentation, including test results.
  • Respond to patient inquiries related to treatment and provide guidance on medication and care instructions.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with completion of accredited nursing program.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) designation preferred.

Experience:

  • At least one year of professional nursing experience is required.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of nursing processes, healthcare systems, and community resources.
  • Familiarity with state nursing regulations and practice guidelines.
  • Proficient in healthcare technology and equipment management.
  • Knowledge of medical documentation standards and laws governing health information.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adhere to clinic policies and procedures.
  • Awareness of customer service principles and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, OSHA).
  • Strong command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
