Role Responsibilities:

As a Senior AVIT Systems Technician, you will play a pivotal role in the deployment of innovative technology solutions, engaging in projects that merge audiovisual, telephony, and network control systems. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior technicians, fostering their technical development.
  • Installation & Commissioning: Carry out installations in accordance with company standards, encompassing audiovisual, paging/intercom, telephony, and network systems.
  • Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Conduct preventative maintenance, service calls, and diagnostics at client locations.
  • Preparation & Validation: Assist with in-house staging, assembly tasks, and equipment validation prior to installation.
  • Collaboration & Configuration: Partner with programming and design teams to set up, troubleshoot, and commission systems.
  • Client Engagement: Deliver training and support to clients, ensuring they are equipped to operate their systems effectively.
Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years in AV/IT, with specialized knowledge of Q-Sys control systems.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with AV/DSP control systems (such as Crestron, Extron, AMX), network configurations, and system diagnostics.
  • Hands-On Skills: Comfortable with ladder work, cable management, rack assembly, and AV/telephony equipment setup.
  • Certifications: CTS certification is required within 6 months; CTS-I is preferred. Additional certifications like A+ or Network+ are advantageous.
