Job Summary:

We are seeking a Retail Store Manager to lead our team and drive sales at high velocity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective store operations strategies to meet or exceed assigned goals and objectives.
  • Lead recruiting initiatives and build a strong staff by interviewing, selecting, and hiring individuals who will be part of a single high-functioning team.
  • Consistently evaluate and develop talent, providing timely feedback and performance appraisals.
  • Drive sales by using superior merchandising skills to ensure the best visual placement of product.
  • Improve project management skills to organize, plan, and set deadlines for initiatives, as well as monitor progress to ensure goals are met.
  • Ensure compliance of all policies, procedures, and practices at all times, both personally and by all Team Members.
  • Plan and meet Weekly and Monthly Sales Goals.
  • Create and maintain a pleasurable working environment for the staff.
  • Assist the Retail District Manager in training future managers.
  • Create open and effective communication between the store, Retail District Manager, and the Home Office.
  • Motivate the staff to maximize sales.
  • Support outside marketing events to promote Dover Saddlery.

Requirements:

We require a Retail Store Manager with experience in retail store management, leadership, and sales driving.
