We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our team at Maryview Medical Center. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Laboratory Tests: Conduct routine and complex laboratory procedures, including testing patient samples and interpreting results.
  • Ensure Quality Control: Identify and correct problems within the scope of training and education, and perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
  • Operate Laboratory Equipment: Maintain, troubleshoot, and validate laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely reporting of test results.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry developments and advancements.
Requirements
  • Certification: MLS Medical Lab Scientist Certification (or MLT) or eligible by a nationally recognized certification agency (preferably ASCP).
  • Education: Bachelors (or if MLT then Associates degree), Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Laboratory Science/Biomedical Science/Biology/Biochemistry through a Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) approved program.
