Job Summary

As a Phlebotomy Specialist at Southern Ohio Medical Center, you will play a vital role in the Laboratory Support Services team. Your primary responsibility will be to collect blood and other specimens from patients, order and label them, and prepare them for laboratory testing. You will also perform electrocardiograms and other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

Collect blood and other specimens from patients using venipunctures and other methods
Order and label specimens for laboratory testing
Prepare specimens for analysis
Perform electrocardiograms
Participate in training and orientation of new employees and students
Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
BMVL licensure required
Phlebotomy certification preferred
Previous phlebotomy experience preferred
