Job Overview

A Metal Fabrication Specialist is responsible for the formation of sheet metal parts using a press brake machine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret part drawings to understand the required metal fabrication process
  • Knowledge of material types and gauge thicknesses to ensure accurate part production
  • Conduct quality checks on first and last articles, as well as other quality control measures as required
  • Identify and report quality issues to the supervisor for corrective action
  • Ensure accurate part marking and labeling
  • Maintain a safe working environment at all times

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of experience in press brake operation, or equivalent experience in metal fabrication
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing production processes
  • Ability to read a tape measure and use quality inspection tools
  • Ability to convert decimals to fractions and use a computer
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
