Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Carpenter to join our team at Smart Renovations. As a key member of our carpentry team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation and repair of various carpentry projects in historic homes and buildings in the Charleston Tri-County Area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of skilled carpenters on various projects.
  • Ensure high-quality workmanship and attention to detail in all carpentry installations and repairs.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to achieve project goals and deadlines.
  • Develop and implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in carpentry, with a strong background in historic preservation.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
  • Strong knowledge of construction power and hand tools, with the ability to operate and maintain equipment safely.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
