Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Carpenter to join our team at Smart Renovations. As a key member of our carpentry team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation and repair of various carpentry projects in historic homes and buildings in the Charleston Tri-County Area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of skilled carpenters to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Develop and implement effective construction plans and schedules.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior carpenters to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in carpentry, with a strong background in historic preservation.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing carpentry teams.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical fitness for construction work.
