About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Direct Patient Care: Administer medications, perform treatments, and provide basic nursing care to patients with mental or developmental disabilities.
  • Collaborate with Treatment Teams: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans, ensuring comprehensive care for patients.
  • Monitor Patient Progress: Observe and report significant changes in patients' physical condition and behavior to supervisors and physicians.
  • Support Patient Education: Assist patients in understanding their treatment plans and provide education on healthy behaviors and coping strategies.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Document patient interactions, treatments, and progress in a clear and concise manner.
Requirements
  • Current LPT License: Possess a current Licensed Psychiatric Technician license for the state in which you practice.
  • Effective Communication: Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to elicit and provide information to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Experience and Education: One year of psychiatric experience in a similar setting within the last three years is preferred, along with proficiency in the English language.
