Civil Project Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Project Engineer to join our team at Ripple Effect Consulting. As a key member of our land development and public works team, you will be responsible for designing and managing civil engineering projects from feasibility studies to construction administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop feasibility studies, geometric design schematics, construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Lead daily coordination of site design, roadway design, grading and drainage design, stormwater pollution prevention plans, and signage and pavement marking design.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers in Training, designers, and drafters.
  • Review shop drawings, perform field observations, and facilitate the construction administration process.
  • Develop project proposals, scopes, budgets, and manage execution and tracking of projects.
  • Complete projects within client specifications, budgets, and schedules.
  • Assist in the preparation of project reports including feasibility studies, implementation plans, engineering summary reports, and drainage impact analyses.
  • Coordinate meetings (online and in-person), prepare meeting agendas, and distribute meeting minutes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE).
  • Registered Professional Engineer in Colorado.
  • 5-10 years of civil engineering design experience.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to interact with clients and multi-discipline team members.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
