Assistant/Associate Professor in Psychology

Objective:
Lincoln University of Missouri is seeking to appoint multiple tenure-track faculty members in the field of Psychology. The specific area of expertise is flexible, but we aim to build a diverse group of successful candidates whose specialties will enhance and broaden the scope of our Psychology department. We particularly welcome applications from individuals with strong backgrounds in at least one of the following domains: clinical/counseling psychology, statistical/experimental methodologies, social psychology, or developmental psychology. Candidates who possess expertise in additional areas that could foster the expansion of our program or facilitate interdisciplinary partnerships with other departments are highly encouraged to submit their applications.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the positions are filled. A total of four (4) positions are available.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver engaging courses, provide academic guidance and mentorship to students, involve students in undergraduate research initiatives, and participate actively in departmental and university committees.
Additional Responsibilities:
Contribute to scholarly publications, attend and present at professional conferences, engage in community service, and support the development of the psychology program and interdisciplinary collaborations across the university.
Qualifications:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:
The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. in Psychology or a closely related discipline, with proficiency in at least one of the specified areas: Clinical/Counseling, Statistical/Experimental techniques, Social, or Developmental Psychology. Candidates who are ABD (All But Dissertation) are also encouraged to apply. Previous teaching experience at the collegiate level, particularly in diverse educational settings, is preferred. Experience in securing grants or external funding is an added advantage.
Certifications and Licenses:
While not mandatory, any relevant certifications or licenses in the areas of clinical/counseling, statistical/experimental techniques, social, or developmental psychology would be considered beneficial.
