About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team at Kanguro Insurance, a leading provider of pet health insurance. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and processing medical records related to new business policies and claims.

As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our insurance policies and claims processing. Your expertise in veterinary medicine will be essential in providing insights and recommendations based on medical records to support the underwriting and claims processes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on medical records management, with excellent understanding of veterinary medical terminology, diagnostics, and treatments. Proficiency in using medical records software and other relevant computer applications is also required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze veterinary medical records to assess the relevance and accuracy of the information provided.
  • Collaborate with underwriters and claims adjusters to ensure accurate interpretation and application of medical information.
  • Assist in the development and updating of policy guidelines related to medical conditions and treatments.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on medical records to support the underwriting and claims processes.
Requirements
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Ability to secure P&C Adjuster License
  • Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or equivalent education/certification/licensure
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a veterinary clinic or related field, with a strong focus on medical records management
  • Excellent understanding of veterinary medical terminology, diagnostics, and treatments
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing complex medical records

Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year.
