Job Summary

MyOHR is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team at UNI Pet Clinic. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our veterinarians in delivering top-notch medical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including vaccinations, ear cleanings, and nail trims.
  • Conduct treatment on clients, including bloodwork, medication administration, and discharge instructions.
  • Facilitate housekeeping duties, such as cleaning exam rooms and kennels.
  • Record patient information, including medical history and treatment plans.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, veterinarians, and other staff members.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Reliable and able to work a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and physically interact with animals.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Veterinary experience.
Working Conditions

Employees will work in a fast-paced environment with pets of varying sizes. The employee will be expected to be available for day and night shifts, working 8-10 hour shifts. This position requires the ability to perform all functions at the clinic level, including twisting, lifting, and repetitive hand and wrist motion.
