Behavior Consultant/Qualified Behavioral Health Professional

Gateway Pediatric Therapy is a leading provider of comprehensive pediatric therapy services, dedicated to enriching the lives of children and adolescents on the autism spectrum. As a Behavior Consultant/Qualified Behavioral Health Professional, you will play a critical role in providing support to and from Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) in the case management of clinical cases. This includes creating appropriate programming for clients, maintaining clinical requirements, and exercising discretion and independent management of client services and supervision of treatment protocols.



Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with Gateway policies and procedures, and in accordance with Gateway organizational philosophy/mission.
  • Lead and mentor technicians on individual patient plan implementation and quality of treatment.
  • Meet with treatment staff, as needed, to help assist in case management and staff continuing training and development.
  • Conduct initial and ongoing client assessments, and based upon these assessments, design and maintain top quality treatment programs.
  • Oversee and maintain accurate and organized records, client notes, data, and reports for internal and external processes.
  • Encourage and engage parents and/or caretakers in parent training for all relevant treatment techniques.
  • Prepare and attend client educational meetings such as IEP's and develop treatment recommendations therein.
  • Continuously make sufficient and appropriate progress towards gaining board certification as a Behavior Analyst as outlined by the Michigan Autism BHT/ABA Services Qualified Providers for Qualified Behavioral Health Professionals (QBHP).
  • Attend all required trainings, conferences, colloquium to remain in compliance with guidelines set forth within the policies and procedures of Gateway.
  • Maintain client privacy in accordance with all HIPAA regulations and with Gateway policies and procedures manual.
  • Work cooperatively and courteously with internal staff and outside stakeholders including school personnel and administration, outside service providers, and any and all other persons whom they may come into contact with.
  • Maintain the highest standards of professionalism in all client and staff interactions.
