Job Summary

PKG Contracting is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team. As a Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for processing weekly payroll, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws, and providing exceptional customer service to employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payroll Processing
    • Assist in processing weekly payroll, from reviewing time entry to sending to the bank
    • Process taxes, garnishments, and other deductions in a timely and accurate manner
  • Employee Support
    • Answer employee questions on payroll, leaves, or compensation issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Payroll Compliance
    • Ensure all federal, state, and local payroll laws are followed, including tax laws and regulations
    • Stay up-to-date on payroll compliance, laws, and regulations
  • Benefits Administration
    • Assist with benefit open enrollment and other HR tasks as needed
Requirements
  • Education
    • Associates or Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred
  • Skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Prioritization and organizational skills to meet multiple deadlines
    • Team-oriented and energetic self-starter
  • Software
    • Sage or UKG Ready experience preferred, but not required
Work Environment

The Payroll Administrator will work in a typical office environment, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service and ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
