Key Responsibilities
- Develop innovative acoustic wave filter designs for seamless integration into RF modules, adhering to strict timelines and performance benchmarks.
- Implement best engineering practices to guarantee product reliability, sustainability, and high production yields.
- Explore new design architectures and concepts to enhance filter and module performance, maintaining a competitive advantage in the market.
- Conduct thorough design evaluations and present quantitative analyses to validate compliance with internal and customer specifications through simulations and empirical data.
- Collaborate with module and systems teams to establish precise performance objectives for filters.
- Engage with technology and fabrication teams to drive continuous performance enhancements and align with business unit roadmaps.
- Advance design methodologies to boost accuracy, efficiency, and success rates on initial design attempts.
- Lead collaborative design initiatives, partnering with teams focused on PA, LNA, switches, MCM, and others to optimize overall performance.
Qualifications
- PhD in Electrical Engineering with relevant internship experience; or MS with 8 years of industry experience; or BS with 12 years of applicable experience.
- Extensive knowledge in the design of acoustic filters and multiplexers, with a strong proficiency in various filter design techniques.
- Comprehensive understanding of RF principles, including impedance matching, distributed systems, passive RLC and resonant circuits, noise characteristics, linearity, bandwidth, and stability.
- Expertise in co-designing PA/LNA filters and integrating RF components.
- Proficient in circuit simulation tools such as Agilent ADS/Cadence and 2.5/3D EM simulation tools like Momentum or HFSS.
- Considerable experience in electromagnetic (EM) simulation of filters or multi-chip modules (MCM).
- Familiarity with antenna design principles is advantageous.
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and debugging from prototype development to mass production.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven track record in RF filter and multiplexer development for cellular technology.
- Experience with BA SAW technology.
- In-depth knowledge of cellular RF systems.
- Demonstrated skills in project and talent management.
Compensation
Salary range: $124,400 - $185,000 annually.
