Position Overview
The Lead Surety Account Service Advisor is responsible for the critical functions associated with the management and retention of contract and commercial surety accounts.

This role is vital within our account management teams, where you will proactively gather, compile, and follow up on essential information to deliver outstanding consulting, placement, and advocacy for clients and prospects of Willis Towers Watson.

As a representative of Willis Towers Watson in your designated markets, you are expected to uphold our esteemed reputation and core values.

Key Responsibilities
In this capacity, you will embody the surety team by showcasing your expertise, decision-making capabilities, and extensive business acumen. Your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Facilitating the placement of new client business with markets and establishing the client's bond program as needed.
  • Overseeing daily client requirements, including bond requests, billing inquiries, and bond close-outs, with the support of the service team.
  • Interpreting and understanding the information presented in bond requests.
  • Accurately entering data from bond requests into submissions for processing.
  • Managing and processing renewals, cancellations, closures, and riders.
  • Handling over/under run billings.
  • Issuing original bonds as required.
  • Assisting in resolving client/carrier accounting discrepancies.
  • Preparing and submitting billings.
  • Advocating for our clients' best interests within the surety market.
  • Responding to inquiries from internal and external clients regarding account bond programs.
  • Communicating with underwriters about the status of accounts or individual bond approvals.
  • Providing support to other surety offices as necessary.
  • Participating in internal and external meetings.
  • Maintaining client confidentiality.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • The capability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Follow-through on assigned projects.
  • The ability to guide clients through challenging surety market conditions.
  • Required licenses as dictated by state law within 60 days of employment.
  • Excellent customer service, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the insurance industry related to account servicing is advantageous.
  • Experience in Surety, particularly within an insurance brokerage environment, is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Epic and Sure Path is beneficial.
  • A willingness to travel up to 5% as needed.
