Physical Therapy Department Director

OU Health Services is the ambulatory care facility on the Norman campus providing primary care services to students, faculty, staff, and dependents. We provide in-house medical laboratory and x-ray services, have a physical therapy department, and a full-service pharmacy.
Job Summary:The Physical Therapy Manager directs, coordinates, and manages the Physical Therapy Department. This role performs administrative duties in reviewing operational effectiveness and participates in making key operational decisions.
Key Responsibilities:- Directs, coordinates, and manages the Physical Therapy Department.
- Performs administrative duties in reviewing operational effectiveness and supervises the department.
- Supervises the Physical Therapy Department staff, including physical therapists and physical therapist assistants.
- Provides direct patient care to patients needing physical therapy.
- Completes documentation, including patient evaluations, initial contract notes, progress notes, home programs, and discharge summaries.
- Master's Degree in Physical Therapy.
- 48 months experience as a Physical Therapist.
- Advanced knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
- Ability to supervise and establish effective working relationships.
- Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Physical Therapy Licensure from the State of Oklahoma.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
The Physical Therapy Manager will work in a clinic environment with a team of physical therapists, physical therapy technicians, and student employees.
