Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at OU Health Services. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, prevention, and treatment/rehabilitation of injuries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patient response to treatment and make recommendations on changes in treatment plan as required.
  • Maintain records concerning treatment/interventions provided, including both subjective and objective data and maintain adequate, up-to-date progress notes on each patient treated.
  • Plan, conduct, and evaluate physical therapy treatment/intervention programs and activities.
  • Interpret physical therapy referrals and determine appropriate evaluation procedures.
  • Make recommendations concerning standardized treatment or interventions based on medical indications and interpret results of tests and objective findings.
  • Propose treatment/intervention plan in conjunction with other team members, including short and long-term goals, frequency, and duration.
  • Complete patient assessments related to various physical skills and functional abilities, including neuromuscular, coordination, strength, balance, ambulation, self-care and education, and provides treatment and interventions according to the results of the evaluation.
  • Assist physical therapy department manager with other duties as assigned for efficient daily operation of the clinic.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 18 months of experience in physical therapy field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Able to communicate well and build rapport quickly with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Detailed oriented for accuracy of data and information.
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong initiative to solve problems.
Certifications
  • Must be registered as a physical therapist with the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision or eligible for registration and holding a temporary permit to practice.
Physical Requirements
  • May lift, carry or move up to 50 pounds.
  • May need to climb, crouch, crawl or bend to check equipment.
  • May have regular exposure to disagreeable conditions including odors and hazardous chemicals.
