Your Responsibilities:

This role requires minimal supervision and involves performing specialized pharmacy technician functions that demand a high level of expertise and meticulous attention to detail. Key responsibilities include:

  • Accurate documentation and troubleshooting
  • Training of new staff members
  • Problem-solving and system modifications
  • Inventory management, including stocking and ordering medications
  • Interactions with patients, vendors, and medical personnel
  • Automated distribution setup and system maintenance
  • IV admixture and pharmacy order entry

  • IV Compounding
  • Inventory Management
  • Perform sterile and hazardous compounding in accordance with USP Chapter and USP Chapter
  • Medication Delivery
  • Training New Employees
  • Standard Technician Duties

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Two or more years of recent Hospital Pharmacy experience preferred
  • Experience with IV admixture and inventory management preferred
  • Current Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • Hazardous Compounding Certification
  • Proficient in pharmacy calculations and terminology
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in IV Admixture, narcotic documentation, and automated dispensing cabinet functions
  • Ability to maintain patient files and audit medication records
