Serves as a key member of the healthcare team, providing high-quality patient care and education in the Hematology/Oncology department. Participates in research and collaborates with nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care.

• Delivers patient-centered care, addressing the unique needs of patients in the Hematology/Oncology department.
• Serves as a resource for patients and families, providing education and support throughout the care process.
• Maintains a high level of expertise in patient care, staying up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in Hematology/Oncology.
• Collaborates with healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care, including pre-visit data gathering, record-keeping, and coordination of follow-up care.
• Assists in the management of patients with chronic diseases, including education, long-term coordination of care, and tracking performance improvement measures.
• Collects and prepares laboratory specimens, completes associated paperwork, and expedites laboratory studies with maximum accuracy and efficiency.
• Provides instruction to ensure patient understanding of medical conditions and compliance with treatment instructions.
• Inserts, monitors, regulates, and discontinues IVs as required by healthcare providers.
• Communicates lab, radiology, and other testing results to patients and via telephone and electronic medical record letter notification.

• Minimum of 2 years RN work experience
• Basic Life Support Certification
• Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania)

Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Nursing
