About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Veterinarian to join our team at Virbac. As a key member of our Animal Health Development team, you will play a critical role in planning and executing clinical projects to support the development of new animal health products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, Execute, and Report Clinical Studies
    • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of animal pharmaceutical regulatory frameworks, including Good Clinical Practices (GCP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute clinical studies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
    • Lead the development of study protocols, training documents, and regulatory submissions.
    • Manage and monitor clinical studies, ensuring timely completion and high-quality data.
    • Author and review clinical study reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Participate in project development meetings to discuss clinical development issues and develop clear project plans with realistic milestones.
    • Collaborate with regulatory affairs, pharmaceutical development, and R&D project managers to ensure seamless project execution.
    • Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring timely completion and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Represent the Clinical Function
    • Represent the clinical function within the US Clinical Team and Corporate R&D project teams.
    • Provide clinical expertise to support project development, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement clinical development plans.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • DVM/VMD or equivalent training and experience from a foreign or North American based veterinary training program.
    • 5+ years of clinical experience in veterinary practice and 3+ years of experience in the Regulated Pharmaceutical Animal Health Industry.
  • Skills and Knowledge
    • Working knowledge of GCP, GLP, GDP, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
    • Advanced scientific writing competency.
    • Regulations regarding the use of animals in research.
    • Thorough knowledge of current standards of veterinary clinical practice.
