### Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Host/Hostess to join our team at Moctezuma's Mexican Restaurant and Tequila Bar. As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience.

### Key Responsibilities

* Greet and seat guests in a timely and efficient manner
* Present menus and inform guests of daily specials
* Ensure guests are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems
* Maintain a clean and organized host stand and entrance area
* Answer phone and answer questions concerning the menu and restaurant
* Interact with guests as they arrive and as they leave the restaurant to ensure a positive dining experience

### Qualifications

* Prior restaurant experience preferred
* Customer service focused, solution-oriented, presentable, and optimistic approach
* Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers
* Basic math and written communication skills
* Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and restaurant needs
* Food handler's card required according to local and state regulations

### Working Conditions

* Hosts/Hostesses are on their feet most of the time and under pressure to serve customers quickly and efficiently
* Ability to work well as a team with wait staff to ensure that customers receive prompt service

### Physical Requirements

* Ability to stand and walk continually throughout an eight-hour shift
* Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

* $16.28 plus tips for Tacoma, Gig Harbor, and Silverdale locations
