Patient Service Coordinator

A Patient Service Representative plays a vital role in ensuring a positive patient experience by providing exceptional customer service, managing patient flow, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities- Greet patients, verify appointment information, and notify nursing staff as needed.
- Register new patients, assist with form completion, and update patient information in the EMR system.
- Scan documents, identification, and insurance cards into patient folders.
- Schedule appointments, answer phone calls, and utilize the triage system for patient care-related calls.
- Initiate and verify patient referrals, insurance authorizations, and pre-certifications.
- Process payments, issue receipts, and reconcile the cash drawer daily.
- Monitor patient flow, communicate delays, and provide assistance as needed.
- Provide translation services for non-English speaking patients and families.
- Create correspondence for missed appointments and maintain a professional appearance.
- Perform general office duties, including document preparation, scanning, and filing.
- Minimum one year of customer service and/or medical office experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
- Bilingual candidates preferred, but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
