Job Title: Carrier Relations Telco Cost Analyst

Uniti is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Carrier Relations Telco Cost Analyst to join our team. As a key member of the Carrier Relations team, you will be responsible for supporting the team by working with our off-net vendors to supply solutions and network infrastructure services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and verify invoices against company records for accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve errors or discrepancies in our inventory or on invoices received from vendors.
  • Identify and report areas for cost savings and optimization to Carrier Relations planners or management.
  • Prepare monthly reports on total bills, unresolved disputes, resolved disputes, credits received, credits due, and outstanding issues with vendor invoices.
  • Assist Carrier Relations Planners and management with forecasting and reporting on off-net expenses, disputes, network costs, or custom reports involving off-net costs as required.
  • Ensure company online inventory systems are accurate and up-to-date, tracking new ordered circuits, and ensuring accruals cover expected costs and disconnected circuits are removed in a timely manner.
  • Support Carrier Relations Planners with research into existing off-net inventory and costs.
  • Identify opportunities for off-net consolidation and optimization.
  • Work closely with Uniti's finance department to ensure timely approval of invoices and resolve vendor late payment issues.
  • Alert the Manager of Carrier Relations to any late payment charges on our invoices and work to ensure timely payment.
  • Assist with proposal responses, cost estimates, and monthly, quarterly, and annual planning.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field highly valued but not required.
  • Experience in project accounting, telecom cost analysis, or auditing highly valued.
  • Experience with financial planning, reporting, and tracking highly valued.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).
  • Relationship management - ability to develop and maintain productive stakeholder relationships.
  • Presentation skills, and excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Working Conditions:
  • Sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Lifting of objects up to 25 pounds, bending, and stooping.
  • Hours involving overtime and weekends as necessary.
  • Keyboarding, typing.
  • Ability to read effectively from a computer screen, sampling device, and/or a paper copy.
