Key Responsibilities- Data Quality and Management: Collaborate with the Director of Shelter Case Management to accurately track case management efforts in Efforts to Outcome (ETO) and End 2 End (E2E) systems, ensuring adherence to the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities' (EOHLC) Shelter Scope of Services.
- HomeBASE Applications: Submit HomeBASE applications in the E2E software, ensuring all required documentation is collected and accurate.
- Partnerships and Outreach: Establish partnerships with Regional Administrative Agencies to ensure a seamless application and approval process for shelter placements where families are accessing the HomeBASE benefit.
- Spreadsheet Management: Maintain accuracy in various spreadsheets and reports crucial to the success of case management operations.
- Resource Development: Develop and consistently update a comprehensive spreadsheet cataloging local property owners, ensuring a robust resource for the team's housing initiatives.
- Housing Initiatives: Establish relationships with local property owners and vendors to support the case management team with identifying available units for families' shelter exit.
- Research and Communication: Conduct thorough research and deliver concise and timely communication regarding open waitlists, housing lotteries, and additional housing opportunities to empower the case management team.
- Training and Development: Attend all EOHLC meetings and training, as needed, determined by the Director of Shelter Case Management.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Maintain a high level of familiarity with relevant housing laws and regulations, particularly those related to Fair Housing and Landlord-Tenant laws, to expertly navigate and advocate for clients when necessary.
- Education: High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Experience: 5 years' experience in the human service field, 2 years' experience working within the State's Family Emergency Assistance Shelter Program funded by EOHLC.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, experience using Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) and End 2 End (E2E) systems.
- Soft Skills: Ability to demonstrate compassion and understanding of the needs of homeless families, strong and effective communication skills, ability to maintain a polite and professional demeanor, strong organizational skills, and experience in shelter, housing, housing stabilization, clinical service, trauma-informed care.
- Cultural Competency: Experience developing culturally and linguistically diverse programs for individuals and families from diverse socio-economic, racial, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds, and a prominent commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
- Prolonged Sitting: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Lifting: Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Travel: Must be able to travel between sites.
