Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement compensation strategies that align with the City's business objectives
  • Conduct market research and analysis to ensure competitive compensation practices
  • Design and implement compensation programs that promote internal equity and external competitiveness
  • Collaborate with City management to ensure compensation systems are responsive to stakeholder needs
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure optimal systems, execution, budget, and compliance
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a closely related field
  • Seven years of directly related professional experience in Human Resources or a closely related field, with at least three years in a managerial capacity
  • Proven leadership experience with a track record for building strong, efficient, and effective teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a closely related field
  • Comprehensive compensation program management experience, including strategic expertise in base and incentive compensation design, administration, and implementation
  • Municipal/governmental agency experience and working with SAP SuccessFactors
