Position Title/Role: Accounting and Finance Manager
Department: Accounting and Finance
Reports To: Head of Department and Chief Financial Officer
Summary:
The Accounting and Finance Manager is tasked with overseeing and directing the General Accounting, Cost Accounting, and Budgeting functions. This role includes the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, facilitating the annual business planning process, and driving initiatives for productivity and process enhancements.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions: (To perform effectively in this role, the incumbent must successfully execute each essential duty. Additional duties may be assigned.)
Management of General and Cost Accounting:
- Supervise Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Cost Accounting teams.
- Review all financial documentation.
- Oversee the comprehensive monthly closing process.
- Conduct monthly standard costing evaluations.
Financial Reporting:
- Generate monthly profit and loss statements, balance sheets, investment activity reports, and inventory analyses.
- Prepare General Ledger (GL) account statements and analyze budget versus actual variances.
- Compile financial report packages (headquarters template) on a quarterly and annual basis.
Audit Support:
- Assist auditors with PBC requests for quarterly and annual audits.
- Address auditor inquiries related to quarterly and annual audits.
Business Planning:
- Coordinate the annual business planning process with various departments.
- Review departmental budgets for business planning submissions.
Budget Management:
- Oversee and manage the overall company budget.
- Evaluate budget transfer or addition requests from other departments.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Establish company guidelines for resolving interdepartmental issues.
- Perform any other tasks as requested by supervisors or management.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications: (The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required and preferred for this position.)
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields.
- Five or more years of experience in finance and accounting.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Ability to manage projects and tasks within designated timelines.
- Capability to produce financial reports as necessary.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Experience with SAP.
- Background in manufacturing costing.
Working Conditions: Office environment, with the majority of the workday spent in a stationary position.
