Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Education Lead to join our team at Novant Health. As a key member of our childcare center, you will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children aged 0-12 years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement educational programs that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth in children.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment.
  • Monitor and maintain a safe and healthy environment, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure a smooth transition between home and childcare.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; early childhood education degree or certification preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in early childhood education, preferably in a leadership role.
  • NC Credentials EDU 119 or equivalent required; BSAC training for school-age children also required.
  • CPR/First Aid certification within 2 months of hire and maintained by expiration date.
  • Ability to pass a background check and maintain a valid CDL (if applicable).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Playground safety certification.
  • Experience with SIDS training and prevention.
