Job Summary

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a skilled Equipment Repair Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on motorized vehicles and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with diesel engines and related electrical and safety equipment
  • Use computer-based diagnostic and testing equipment to troubleshoot and repair issues
  • Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of tasks
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in equipment repair and maintenance
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of diagnostic and repair software
