About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration in Columbia, SC. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall well-being of our veterans.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assisting with daily living activities, administering medications, and monitoring vital signs.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest nursing practices and technologies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of specialized experience as a Nursing Assistant or in a related field preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
