Department Overview
The Athletics Department at Georgia Southern University is focused on enhancing the student-athlete experience and fostering community engagement through sports.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Associate Athletic Director for Annual Fund, the Athletic Foundation Coordinator will play a vital role in enhancing philanthropic efforts aimed at securing support from various stakeholders including alumni, faculty, staff, and friends of the university.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate donor records and databases.
- Coordinate stewardship activities and communications to encourage donations.
- Assist the Athletic Foundation team in organizing and executing events and initiatives.
- Support data collection and strategies for donor recruitment.
- Ensure consistent application of the Foundation's branding and marketing strategies across all fundraising communications.
Qualifications
Educational Background
- Bachelor's Degree required.
Experience
- 0-1 years of relevant experience preferred.
Preferred Skills
Experience
- Prior experience in higher education or nonprofit sectors.
- Public speaking skills are advantageous.
Salary Information
$21.59 per hour
This position is classified as non-exempt and is compensated on a biweekly schedule.
