Job Summary

The Teche Action Clinic is seeking a qualified LPN-Pediatric to join our team in Houma, Louisiana. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and education to children and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and healthcare providers with daily clinic duties to ensure proper care is given within the scope of practice guidelines.
  • Initiate and participate in child/family education and serve as a facilitator of family-focused care.
  • Promote optimum growth and development for each child.
  • Document pertinent information such as provider orders, nursing actions, and interventions appropriately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Provide skilled nursing care, including safely and accurately performing technical skills and administering medications and immunizations.
  • Assist with routine clinic tasks, including maintaining emergency supplies, stock medications, and equipment.
  • Accurately assess current status and preventive health status and communicate needs to the provider.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • Completion of an Accredited Practical Nursing Program
  • Current License for LPN in the State of Louisiana (1 year preferred)
  • BLS Certification
