Role Overview:
The primary responsibility is to uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards in designated areas, ensuring they are safe, orderly, and visually appealing, as per established protocols and under the guidance of a supervisor. It is essential to maintain the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to read, write, and follow both verbal and written instructions effectively.
- Capacity to remain composed in stressful situations and make informed decisions.
- Strong communication skills to interact with residents, families, staff, and the public.
- A compassionate approach towards the elderly and an understanding of their needs.
- Availability to work full or part-time on a consistent schedule.
- Compliance with all state health regulations.
- Capability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the cleaning schedule and instructions provided by the supervisor, covering resident rooms, offices, and communal areas.
- Sweep and vacuum all assigned spaces.
- Clean and polish furnishings, fixtures, and heating/air conditioning units in resident rooms and public areas.
- Wash windows and mirrors in resident rooms and communal spaces.
- Clean walls and ceilings through washing, wiping, dusting, and disinfecting.
- Maintain cleanliness in hallways, stairways, and elevators as needed.
- Empty wastebaskets and manage waste disposal.
- Report any maintenance issues or unsafe conditions to the appropriate personnel.
- Prepare model rooms for incoming residents in collaboration with admissions.
- Clean the employee break room as required.
- Replenish paper towel and soap dispensers as necessary.
- Assist with laundry duties, including linens and personal items, following established protocols.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and chemicals as needed.
- Log water or heat temperatures as required.
- Follow infection control policies and attend training sessions as requested.
- Keep janitorial closets and supply rooms organized and clean.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or administrator.
- Clean exterior windows and outdoor areas as directed.
