Job Description

This contract role includes per diem, temp housing, and travel allowance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and guide all activities within the Emergency Department and the Clinical Decision Unit.
  • Direct and coordinate various personnel functions, including hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers, and vacation schedules.
  • Review, develop, and implement policies and procedures for the department.
  • Evaluate staff continually for educational needs and formally evaluate annually.
  • Assume budgetary responsibilities.
  • Attend meetings and participate on Committees as required.
  • Maintain records and statistics for administrative and regulatory purposes.

Qualifications:

  • BSN required, Master's preferred.
  • Nursing license or Compact license in the State of OH.
  • BLS and ACLS required.
  • 5 years experience in Emergency Department.
  • Experience with managing a department required.
  • Specialty certification in emergency services or related area preferred.
