Physical Therapist

Clarke Schools for Hearing & Speech is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team of therapists. As a Physical Therapist at Clarke Schools, you will play a vital role in supporting deaf and hard of hearing children and their parents in a center-based EI and Preschool program.
Responsibilities:- Plan, evaluate, organize, and conduct pediatric physical therapy sessions to facilitate growth in gross motor development.
- Administer evaluations and assessments to determine a child's level of gross motor function relative to age.
- Develop treatment plans and monitor progress for each child on your caseload.
- Provide support in the classrooms to ensure teachers, assistant teachers, and other related service providers have the skills and information needed to support all children in the development of healthy motor development.
- NYS License in Physical Therapy
- Master's or doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school
- Experience with age-appropriate tests, testing techniques, and test interpretation
- Excellent written and spoken English communication
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Commitment to parent involvement and communication
