A Day in the Life

The Banquet Service Associate is a key member of our events team, responsible for delivering exceptional service and ensuring guest satisfaction for a variety of events, including weddings, corporate events, member events, and golf outings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Service: Greet and serve food and/or beverages to patrons, providing immediate attention to all guests upon seating.
  • Event Setup: Assist with setup for banquet events, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are in place.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Check back with guests to ensure satisfaction, replenishing water and clearing plates and glassware as needed.
  • Table Maintenance: Keep tables, dining room, and bus station clean and tidy throughout events.
  • Communication: Advise supervisors of any guest complaints or concerns as soon as they occur.
  • Side Work and Closing Duties: Perform side work, clean-up, and closing duties as assigned by management.
  • Event Preparation: Prepare rooms for upcoming banquet events, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are in place.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1 year of server experience preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrated quality written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze and solve problems, efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required.
  • Professionalism: Positive attitude, professional manner, and appearance in all situations.
