Job Description

We are seeking a skilled School Custodian to join our team at Franklin County Schools. This is a full-time position that requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for students, teachers, and staff. This includes sweeping, mopping, and cleaning floors, as well as dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean classrooms, departmental offices, teachers' lunchroom, and guidance suite
  • Perform minor repairs as needed
  • Dust and clean light fixtures and components
  • Replace broken window glass
  • Check sewage disposal unit for unwanted debris and operation
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of experience in custodial work
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions

Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year
