Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

Central Ohio Primary Care is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Capital City Medical Associates in Columbus, OH.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate LPN to provide administrative and clinical support to our patients. As a member of our primary care team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and creating a positive experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the clinical care team to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that promotes open communication between the care team, patients, and caregivers.
  • Collaborate with other care team members to address gaps in care and promote improved clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
  • Act as a patient advocate to ensure the highest quality of care for our patients.
  • Perform routine specimen collection and tests, including EKGs and injections.
  • Interview patients regarding medical concerns and obtain medical history.
  • Measure vital signs and record them on patients' charts.
  • Assist physicians and RNs in patient care assessments and perform routine medical procedures as requested.
  • Review physician orders and lab requests, and follow up as needed.
  • Communicate test results to patients and record notes in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
  • Assist with patient education and provide related educational tools and resources.
  • Respond to patient phone calls and maintain patient confidentiality in alignment with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Current Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure.
  • Self-disciplined, energetic, and passionate with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and react calmly in emergency situations.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, patient care procedures, and examination procedures.
