Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with cleaning and sanitization standards, performing essential tasks with a focus on excellence.
  • Safely handle and utilize cleaning chemicals and equipment, maintaining responsible usage at all times.
  • Organize, count, and distribute clean linens as necessary to support daily operations.
  • Conduct thorough cleaning procedures across various facility areas, including regular inspections by management.
  • Assist in moving carts and adjusting drapes as part of the cleaning process.
  • Consistently apply standard precautions to prevent infection and ensure a safe environment.
  • Facilitate cleaning by rearranging furniture and occasionally using ladders for elevated tasks.
  • Exhibit a willingness to learn and expand skill sets related to the role.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by addressing requests with a positive demeanor and a sense of urgency.
  • Follow established schedules and complete tasks within designated time frames.
  • Serve as a positive example for new employees, offering support and demonstrating the values of The Highlands at Wyomissing.
  • Prioritize the safety and well-being of all residents.
Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position primarily during first shift hours, with varying workdays based on scheduling needs. Flexibility for evening, weekend, on-call, holiday, and inclement weather shifts may be required.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a customer service role or working with senior adults is preferred.
  • Prior experience in housekeeping is advantageous.
Licensing Requirements:
  • A valid Pennsylvania Driver's License and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record Check are preferred.
