San Francisco, California, United States Palo Alto Networks Full time

About Us

Palo Alto Networks is a leading cybersecurity company dedicated to protecting the digital way of life. Our mission is to be the cybersecurity partner of choice, and we're looking for innovators who share our passion for shaping the future of cybersecurity.

We take our mission seriously, and we believe that the unique ideas of every member of our team contribute to our collective success. Our values were crowdsourced by employees and are brought to life through each of us every day - from disruptive innovation and collaboration, to execution. From showing up for each other with integrity to creating an environment where everyone feels included.

Our Career Opportunities

In this role, you will primarily focus on research analytics. As a Cybersecurity Threat Investigator, you will map out what parts of an organization are vulnerable and need to be tested for security vulnerabilities. You will use various internal and external research techniques to determine which internet-facing assets belong to a company of interest by investigating their registration information, such as domains, certificates, and IP networks.

Your main responsibility will be attack surface discovery, thoroughly investigating thousands of possible assets and making informed ownership decisions. You will also partner with sales and customer success to answer technical client questions, help explain and demonstrate the use cases of our software to customers, and refine our attack surface discovery toolset with engineering teams.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Math, or another technical discipline focused on problem-solving analysis or equivalent military experience. You should have at least 2 years of working experience and conceptual understanding of technical topics, such as mathematical concepts. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to operate with autonomy and independence in a remote setting.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $92,000 - $148,500 per year, depending on qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition to a starting base salary, the offered compensation may include restricted stock units and a bonus. We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including flexible wellbeing spending accounts, mental and financial health resources, and personalized learning opportunities.

Why Join Us?

Palo Alto Networks is a company built on the foundation of challenging and disrupting the way things are done. We're committed to providing reasonable accommodations for all qualified individuals with a disability and celebrate diversity in our workplace. We're an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from diverse candidates.
