Position Summary
Dogwood Industries LLC is on the lookout for a skilled assembly technician to enhance our workforce.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to assemble components and materials with precision and efficiency, adhering to provided plans and specifications while collaborating with team members.

The candidate should be proficient in interpreting both written and verbal instructions, as well as comprehending and following technical drawings and work directives. Responsibilities will include working with metal cladding, insulation, and steel elements. A strong background in carpentry, material handling, and mechanical assembly is essential, along with a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities
1. Assemble structural frames and skeletons.
2. Install metal and insulation sheeting.
3. Handle materials, including operating necessary equipment.
4. Operate standard shop equipment and utilize hand and power tools.
5. Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
Experience:
- Background in construction or manufacturing environments.
- Previous experience in carpentry roles.
- Proficient in various trades and capable of applying skills across multiple tasks.

Skills:
- Ability to select appropriate tools for tasks and ensure their proper use.
- Competent in operating non-specialized shop equipment.
- Contribute to the development of processes for consistent task execution.

Education:
- Preferred 3+ years of experience in roofing or carpentry.
- Experience in metal building and construction installation is advantageous.
- High school diploma, general education degree, or vocational training is required.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
The physical demands outlined here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

While fulfilling job responsibilities, employees must maintain full mobility in both upper and lower body, reach overhead, and work in various positions including stooping, standing, bending, sitting, kneeling, and squatting. The ability to handle, feel, and manipulate objects, tools, or controls is essential, as is the capacity to climb stairs and maintain balance for extended periods.

Candidates should be able to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment to complete assigned tasks, with the ability to lift up to 70 pounds. Exposure to typical shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, and odors is expected. This role involves physical activity and may require performing somewhat strenuous tasks in a primarily production-oriented environment.

Compensation and Benefits
Hourly wage of $34.00, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
