Position Overview:

Nuvance Health is actively seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist for a per diem role. We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our expanding team of Medical Sonographers. Our sonographers play a crucial role in delivering healthcare services by utilizing sonic energy for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts diagnostic ultrasonic examinations to aid in disease identification, adhering to established protocols.
  • Explains procedures to patients, ensuring they understand the process.
  • Guides and assists patients in achieving the correct positioning for optimal imaging.
  • Evaluates patient discomfort during imaging and communicates with physicians for necessary interventions.
  • Ensures patient safety and minimizes the risk of medical errors during all aspects of care.
  • Selects appropriate transducers and adjusts equipment settings based on examination requirements.
  • Maintains accurate records of internal examinations in compliance with PACS/Archive protocols.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification is required prior to orientation.
  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience is necessary.

Certification:

  • Registered with one of the following: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT): RT(S), or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI): RVS.

Work Details:

  • Location: Sharon Hospital
  • Work Type: Per-Diem
  • Standard Hours: Day shifts, 8 hours throughout the week
  • Salary Range: $50/hour for PRN
  • Department: Ultrasound
  • Benefits: 401k matching
