ICU Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at St. David's South Austin Medical Center. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, and promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
Responsibilities- Perform patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
- Administer medications, complete treatments, and perform venipuncture as needed.
- Monitor and maintain patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and oxygen saturation.
- Provide education and support to patients and families on care and treatment plans.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in an acute care setting.
- Recent critical care/clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited Nursing program.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification preferred.
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification preferred.
St. David's South Austin Medical Center is a 368-bed acute care facility offering a range of complex specialties and sub-specialties. Our services include a nationally accredited oncology program, advanced trauma care, comprehensive cardiac, stroke, and orthopedic programs, full-service maternity and newborn care, and two full-service emergency centers in the communities of Bee Cave and Bastrop.
