Electronics & Lethality Hardware Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics & Lethality Hardware Engineer to join our team at Detroit Engineered Products. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex electronic systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electronic systems, including circuit boards, microcontrollers, and software.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and within-budget project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, datasheets, and user manuals.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our solutions remain competitive.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in electronics design and development.
  • Proficiency in engineering development and test tools, including PCB design software and microcontroller programming languages.
  • Strong understanding of digital and analog circuit design, as well as microprocessor-based products.
  • Experience with industry interface standards and form factors, such as VITA42/46 and COM Express.
  • Knowledge of EMI/EMC design practices and standards.
  • Proficiency in C, C#, and Visual Studio Suite.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with MATLAB Simulink Control and MATHCAD.
  • Knowledge of serial interconnects, USB, CAN, RS422/485, and graphics/video interfaces.
  • Understanding of power, thermal analysis, timing, biasing, voltage, and current control.
  • Experience with servo control and microcontroller-based products.
