We are seeking a highly skilled American Sign Language (ASL) educator to join our team as an Online ASL Instructor. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching ASL levels 1-4 to hearing, deaf, and hard of hearing high school students through our ASL Online program.
Key Responsibilities- Teach ASL levels 1-4 to high school students through our online program
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to ensure academic success
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
- Stay current with best practices in ASL education and pedagogy
- Valid Ohio teaching licensure for grade level, subject area, or special class assignment
- Advanced level on the Sign Language Proficiency Interview (SLPI) within one year of hire
- Intermediate level minimum requirement at hire
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
This is a full-time position with a 185-day Statewide Services and Outreach calendar spanning August 1 – June 30.
