Position Overview
We are in search of a dedicated individual to assemble our high-quality offshore fishing vessels. If you possess mechanical skills and enjoy collaborating with others to achieve objectives, this role may be for you.
Key Responsibilities
This position involves the installation of various components such as decks, liners, consoles, leaning posts, and other fabricated parts.
Qualifications
- Proficient in using hand tools including tape measures, razor knives, screw guns, drills, and ratchets.
- Ability to regularly lift, push, or pull weights up to 50 lbs without assistance.
- Capability to safely climb using stairs, scaffolding, ladders, and ramps to access boats and equipment.
- Willingness to work in a non-climate-controlled environment, including exposure to sunlight.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while maintaining focus on tasks.
- Problem-solving skills with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
- Previous experience in assembly is preferred.
While performing job duties, employees may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibrations. The noise level in the workplace can be high.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands of this position include:
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as eye protection, hearing protection, gloves, protective suits, dust masks, and respirators.
- Occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Frequent lifting/moving of up to 15 pounds and occasional lifting/moving of up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work a 10-hour shift or longer, including planned and unplanned overtime.
- Capability to work cautiously yet efficiently in potentially hazardous conditions.
