Job Description: Certified Nursing Assistant - Wound Care Support
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team of wound care specialists. In this role, you will provide essential patient care under the guidance of our physicians and wound care nurses. Your responsibilities will encompass assisting with wound care procedures, facilitating patient readiness for consultations, and supporting the overall efficiency of wound care rounds.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on assistance to physicians during bedside rounds, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Collaborate with SNF staff to troubleshoot any challenges and ensure optimal patient care.
- Prepare patients for physician consultations by ensuring their availability and readiness.
- Assist the wound care nurse with various tasks, including incontinence care, positioning patients for evaluation, dressing application, and full-body skin exams.
- Document wound measurements, locations, and treatment plans as directed by physicians.
- Support telemedicine visits and utilize camera technology for video conferencing.
- Assist physicians in obtaining written consent for procedures when required by the SNF.
Qualifications:
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing with the State.
- Proven ability to build positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance and travel to partner facilities.
- Prior experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) is preferred.
