Position Overview

Role Summary

The Cardiovascular Imaging Specialist operates under the guidance of a registered nurse, executing advanced hemodynamic monitoring tasks and providing assistance to physicians during various procedures. This role involves working with a diverse patient demographic, ranging from adolescents to seniors, and includes training responsibilities for Cardiovascular Technicians and other personnel in the Cath Lab.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct monitoring of cardiac procedures and perform calculations of hemodynamic data.
  • Support nursing staff during emergency interventions.
  • Oversee the upkeep and quality assurance of medical equipment.
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and supplies.
  • Fulfill the duties of a monitor technician as required.
Qualifications

Education:
Graduate from an accredited cardiovascular technology program or equivalent educational background.

Experience:
Minimum of 2 years in an interventional Cath Lab or 2 years of experience in Electrophysiology.

Certifications:
Must possess RCIS or RCES certification; BLS and ACLS certifications are required within six months of employment.

Compliance with federal, state, and local vaccination mandates is expected. Proof of vaccination or an approved exemption will be necessary prior to starting the position.
